  • 2 cups steeped tea
  • 4 cups sugar
  • 4 regular-sized tea bags
  • 1 pouch liquid pectin
  • 1/4 cup bottled lemon juice

Instructions

  1. Prepare the tea by steeping four regular-sized tea bags in 2½ cups of boiling water for 12 hours.
  2. Strain the tea through cheesecloth or a fine strainer to remove any leaves.
  3. In a large pot, combine two cups of strained tea and add four cups of sugar, stirring until dissolved.
  4. Stir in 1/4 cup of bottled lemon juice, then boil for one minute.
  5. Add the liquid pectin and boil for another minute.
  6. Remove from heat and skim off any foam.
  7. Pour the jelly into sterilized jars, leaving about 1/4 inch of headspace, seal with lids, and process in a boiling water canner for ten minutes.
