  • 4 cups sugar
  • 1.74 oz Sure Jell fruit pectin

Instructions

  1. Thoroughly clean jelly jars and strawberries, removing stems.
  2. Crush the strawberries using a blender or potato masher until you reach your desired consistency, then measure out two cups into a mixing bowl.
  3. Add 4 cups of sugar to the crushed strawberries and let it sit for 10 minutes while stirring occasionally.
  4. In a saucepan, combine the pectin with 3/4 cup water and bring to a boil while stirring constantly for one minute, then remove from heat.
  5. Quickly pour the boiled pectin into the strawberry mixture and stir vigorously for about three minutes until the sugar is completely dissolved and the mixture thickens.
  6. Fill jelly jars immediately, leaving 1/2 inch of space at the top, cover with lids, and let set at room temperature for 24 hours before freezing.
