  • ⅔ cup soy sauce
  • ½ cup brown sugar
  • ½ teaspoon ground mustard
  • 1 teaspoon ground ginger
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder
  • 16oz spaghetti (1 pound box)
  • 3 ½ cups water
  • 1 tablespoon sesame seeds

Instructions

  1. Heat a large pot over medium-high heat and add olive oil. Sauté the shredded cabbage and carrots for about 5 minutes until softened.
  2. Stir in the soy sauce, brown sugar, ground mustard, ground ginger, and garlic powder until well combined.
  3. Add the spaghetti and water to the pot. Bring to a boil and cook uncovered for 15-18 minutes, stirring occasionally until the noodles are tender.
  4. Remove from heat, toss in sesame seeds, and serve immediately. Garnish with extra sesame seeds or sliced green onions if desired.
