  • 1 bell pepper, chopped
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 1/2 cup celery, chopped
  • 1 jalapeno, finely chopped
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 6 slices turkey bacon
  • 14.5 ounces diced tomatoes
  • 3 ounces tomato paste
  • 2 tablespoons chili powder
  • 1 tablespoon cumin
  • 1 cup bone broth
  • salt and pepper, to taste
  • cheddar cheese, for topping

Instructions

  1. In a skillet over medium-high heat, cook turkey bacon until crispy; drain and set aside.
  2. Sauté onions, celery, and bell pepper in the same skillet until tender.
  3. Add ground beef and cook until browned; drain excess fat.
  4. Stir in jalapeno and garlic; cook for one minute.
  5. Mix in chili powder, cumin, oregano, and paprika; cook for an additional 30 seconds.
  6. Return chopped turkey bacon to skillet; add tomato paste, diced tomatoes, salt, and pepper.
  7. Pour in bone broth and simmer uncovered for 20 minutes.
  8. Serve hot topped with shredded cheddar cheese.
