Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb sirloin or ribeye steak
  • 1 tbsp Cajun seasoning
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • Salt and black pepper, to taste
  • 8 oz linguine
  • 2 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 4 oz cream cheese, cubed
  • ½ cup shredded Parmesan cheese
  • ½ cup shredded mozzarella
  • 1 tsp Cajun seasoning (or to taste)
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Cook the linguine until al dente, reserving ½ cup of pasta water before draining.
  2. Season the steak with Cajun seasoning, salt, and pepper.
  3. In a skillet over medium-high heat, sear the steak in olive oil and butter for about 3-4 minutes per side for medium-rare. Add minced garlic during the last minute.
  4. Let the steak rest while preparing the sauce. In the same skillet, melt butter and sauté garlic until fragrant.
  5. Stir in the heavy cream and cream cheese until smooth, then add Parmesan, mozzarella, and more Cajun seasoning as desired.
  6. Toss the drained linguine into the sauce, adding reserved pasta water if needed.
  7. Slice the rested steak against the grain and serve it atop the pasta, garnished with parsley.
