  • 12 oz uncooked chow mein noodles
  • 2 cups cabbage
  • 1 large carrot (julienned)
  • 1/2 batch green onions
  • 2 garlic cloves
  • 6 tbsp oyster sauce
  • 3 tbsp low sodium soy sauce
  • 3 tbsp light sesame oil (not toasted)
  • 1/2 cup chicken broth
  • 1 tbsp corn starch
  • 1 tbsp granulated sugar
  • 3 tbsp oil

Instructions

  1. Prepare the sauce by whisking together oyster sauce, granulated sugar, light sesame oil, soy sauce, chicken broth, and corn starch in a mixing bowl. Set aside.
  2. Cook chow mein noodles according to package instructions; drain and rinse with cold water.
  3. In a wok or large frying pan over medium heat, heat oil and cook chicken strips until golden brown. Remove and set aside.
  4. Sauté chopped carrots, cabbage, and pressed garlic until veggies are slightly softened.
  5. Return cooked chicken and noodles to the pan; pour prepared sauce over everything and cook for an additional 2 minutes.
