Ingredients

Scale
  • 1/4 cup low-sodium soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 1/3 cup beef broth
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 2 tablespoons hoisin sauce
  • 2 (3 ounce) packages ramen noodles (seasoning packets discarded)
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil
  • 2 tablespoons extra-virgin olive oil (divided)
  • 1 pound sirloin steak (sliced)
  • 1/2 teaspoon kosher salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 3 cups fresh broccoli florets
  • 1/2 cup water
  • Sesame seeds (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. In a medium bowl, whisk together soy sauce and cornstarch until smooth. Add beef broth, honey, hoisin sauce, garlic, ginger, sesame oil, and red pepper flakes; set aside.
  2. Cook ramen noodles in boiling water for 2-3 minutes; drain and rinse with cold water. Toss with sesame oil to prevent sticking.
  3. In a nonstick skillet, heat olive oil over medium-high heat. Season beef with salt and pepper; add to skillet and cook until browned.
  4. Add broccoli and water to the skillet; cover to steam for about 2 minutes.
  5. Return beef to the skillet along with cooked ramen and pour in the sauce; mix thoroughly for an additional minute or two until heated through.
  6. Serve immediately garnished with sesame seeds.
