  • 1 3/4 cups all-purpose flour

  • 1/2 tsp ground nutmeg
  • 1/4 tsp ground allspice
  • 1/2 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 6 oz cream cheese
  • 3 tbsp granulated white sugar (for filling)
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla (for filling)
  • 1/4 cup granulated white sugar (for topping)
  • 1/4 tsp ground cinnamon (for topping)
  • 1/8 tsp ground nutmeg (for topping)
  • pinch ground allspice (for topping)
  • 12 tbsp salted butter, melted (for topping)

Instructions

  1. Simmer apple cider in a saucepan over medium heat until reduced to 1/2 cup; let cool.
  2. In a bowl, beat cream cheese, granulated sugar, and vanilla until smooth.
  3. Cream softened butter with brown and white sugars until fluffy. Add egg yolks and vanilla; mix well.
  4. Gradually mix in flour, spices, baking powder, baking soda, and salt until just combined.
  5. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  6. Scoop dough onto the sheet; create an indentation and fill with cheesecake mixture. Seal with more dough on top.
  7. Bake for about 11 minutes until edges are golden.
