- 1 vanilla cake mix (15.25 oz)
- 8 tablespoons unsalted butter, softened
- 1 large egg
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 4 ounces cream cheese, softened
- 2 cups Oreo cookie chunks
- 3/4 cup red, white & blue M&Ms
- 1/2 cup red, white & blue sprinkles
Instructions
- In a mixing bowl, combine the cake mix, softened butter, cream cheese, egg, and vanilla extract until a soft dough forms.
- Gently fold in the Oreo chunks, 1/2 cup M&Ms, and 1/4 cup sprinkles.
- Cover the dough with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 60 minutes.
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Use a cookie scoop to portion out about 24 dough balls on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
- Press the remaining M&Ms into the tops of each ball and sprinkle additional sprinkles if desired.
- Bake for approximately 10 minutes until edges are lightly golden.
- Allow cookies to cool on the baking sheet for 2 minutes before transferring them to cool completely on parchment paper.
